A Dream of You
I once had a dream of you,
My sleeping body thinking of you.
I dreamt we were together again,
And that you were no longer sad
It’s been so long since I’ve seen you last
Six months, maybe a year,
But in this dream we had never been apart
And you were still very sad
You didn’t show it, you never would
But I can tell when you hide it,
For I hide it as well,
So I can tell.
Why you are sad I’ll never know,
My dear departed friend.
I just thought you should know,
I want you to know
I once had a dream of you.
